Butter Thief
One of the most famous and endearing episodes is Krishna's love for butter. As a child, Krishna was very fond of butter, and he often used to steal it from the houses of the Gopis (cowherd women) in Vrindavan. Despite his mother Yashoda’s efforts to keep it hidden, Krishna would find clever ways to reach it, sometimes with the help of his friends, and delightfully steal and eat the butter. The Gopis would complain to Yashoda, but Krishna’s innocent expressions and mischievous smile would make it impossible for her to stay angry.
