Drill Danger Zone Alert
DANGER ZONE: 8 feet around the drilling equipment Ensure that no one is within the danger zone of the drilling equipment. This is the area around the drilling equipment where people may be at risk from the movement of any of its operating components. The operator can only work with the equipment if no one is within the danger zone. If someone enters the danger zone, the operator must immediately give the appropriate warning signals. These are usually done with the horn, but predetermined hand signals can be used to warn people if site noise may obscure audible signals. The operator must immediately cease all operations if others remain in the danger zone despite the warning.
