Arcade Rush: Joystick Shooter
The arcade machine hums with anticipation. I press fire to start—my heart is racing, my palms already a little clammy on the joystick. “Get ready. Go!” flashes on the screen, and suddenly I’m running, leaping, shooting. Images flicker from both sides, the single-shot gun cracking as bad guys tumble

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
The arcade glow on my face
Token clinks
Last in the case
Thumb on start
I hold my breath
One more life between me and the edge
“Get ready
Go!” in red and white
Screen explodes
My pulse ignites
Running fast through pixel storms
Single shot in my shaking hands
[Chorus]
Press fire to start
My heart jumps first
Every hit point feels like it hurts
I’m locked in
Locked in
Chasing the mark
Chasing that high score in the dark
Press fire to start
I can’t back down
If I fall now
I just respawn
I’m locked in
Locked in
Chasing the mark
Press fire to start
[Verse 2]
Images flicker from both sides
Hidden traps in the silent lines
Palms so slick on the old joystick
Every tiny twitch could blow this run
Crowd of strangers at my back
Hear them gasp when I dodge the attack
One more wave
Then the boss appears
I bite down hard on my fear
[Chorus]
Press fire to start
My heart jumps first
Every hit point feels like it hurts
I’m locked in
Locked in
Chasing the mark
Chasing that high score in the dark
Press fire to start
I can’t back down
If I fall now
I just respawn
I’m locked in
Locked in
Chasing the mark
Press fire to start
