Counting Down to Santa's Sleigh
Motown-style Christmas soul song: an upbeat tempo, bright horns, jangly guitar, bass and handclaps, with an excited young male lead and his brothers' harmonies. Excited and playful, sung in English, about counting down the days until Santa's sleigh lands on the roof.

Lyrics
(Upbeat brass fanfare)(Soulful finger snaps)Got the calendar marked in bright cherry redVisions of sugarplums dancing in my headI’m checking the chimney and I’m polishing the floorI can’t wait to see who’s knocking at my doorTen days to go, then it’s down to nineI’m counting every second till the stars alignHe’s almost hereCan you hear the bells ringing? He’s almost hereEverybody starts singingComing to town, yeahTouchdown on the roofComing to town, yeahI got all the proofThe milk is in the carton, cookies on the plateI’m pacing by the window, I can hardly waitWrapped up the boxes with a big silk bowI’m watching for the reindeer in the midnight snowFive days to go, then it’s down to fourPut a sprig of green holly on the front doorHe’s almost hereCan you hear the bells ringing? He’s almost hereEverybody starts singingComing to town, yeahTouchdown on the roofComing to town, yeahI got all the proofThree, two, one—is that a sound above?Falling from the clouds on a mission of loveHigh-speed runners hitting the slateSanta’s on time, he’s never lateHe’s almost hereCan you hear the bells ringing? He’s almost hereEverybody starts singingComing to town, yeahTouchdown on the roofComing to town, yeahI got all the proofLanding on the roof(Yeah, he’s coming)Landing on the roof(Keep the engine running)Wait for the man in red(Merry Christmas, baby)
