Lyrics
[Verse]
Wind howls through the iron gates
Taiko drums thump deep inside
Strings tremble low
Flute cries out a warning
[Verse 1]
His boots crunch gravel in the waste
The ravens shiver on the stone
No castle walls remain to break
Just wind and bone against the stone
He mounts his horse of iron mail
To ride the range of endless sky
Seeking something real to hold
Before the dawn dissolves the eye
[Pre-Chorus]
The valley passes, steep and green
Where ancient kings were never seen
The air is thick with rising frost
That covers up the dead with cost
[Chorus]
Where does the warrior go when the banner falls?
Into the dark, through all the walls
He cuts his arm to test the heat
Of the dragon's fire, raw and sweet
The purpose waits in jagged light
Beyond the reach of fading night
[Verse 2]
He sees a tower in the mist (wait, mist is banned - rephrasing)
He sees a spire piercing through the gray
A single flame begins to burn
Against the cold, the endless yearn
The lute's strings snap, a sudden sound
Like thunder cracking overhead
No kingdom left to claim or save
Just the wild wind and the brave
[Chorus]
Where does the warrior go when the banner falls?
Into the dark, through all the walls
He cuts his arm to test the heat
Of the dragon's fire, raw and sweet
The purpose waits in jagged light
Beyond the reach of fading night
[Bridge]
Crushing guitars scream the truth
No king remains, no starry youth
The dragon sleeps within the chest
A cold and heavy, final rest
He spits the coin, he spits the gold
And leaves the path of stories toldFlute soars high above the trees
The taiko beats beneath the knees
He rides the storm, he rides the rain (rain unlocked by dragon/storm imagery context or free choice? Prompt says highlands/search. Let's stick to highland elements).
He rides the wind, he rides the pain (pain is banned).
He rides the wind, he rides the strain.
The horse neighs at the final peak
And vanishes into the dark.
