Small-Town Friday Night Stomp
Country line-dance party anthem: a stomping, boots-on-the-floor beat, a bright banjo riff, twangy electric guitar and a rhythmic male vocal with a big sing-along chorus. Rowdy, fun and celebratory, with lyrics about a Friday night at a small-town bar.

Parked the Chevy in the gravel lotTie a flannel round a beer that’s coldSun is sinking in a dusty spotReady for the stories to be toldGot the jukebox humming in the cornerSawdust dancing on the pine wood floorLocal legends and the Sunday mournersPushing through that swinging screen doorHey, hey, raise ‘em up highDirt road kings under a big black skyBoot heels clicking on the hardwood grainForget the Monday morning and the pouring rainRaise ‘em up highRaise ‘em up highFriday night fever in a one-light townTurn the music up and let the walls come downKatie’s laughing by the pool tableSinking nines like she’s a movie starEvery truck is parked and every table’s fullBest damn party at the Lucky StarBobby’s telling how he caught that bassJack is buying rounds for all his kinLook at the smile on every single faceThis is where the weekend beginsHey, hey, raise ‘em up highDirt road kings under a big black skyBoot heels clicking on the hardwood grainForget the Monday morning and the pouring rainRaise ‘em up highRaise ‘em up highFriday night fever in a one-light townTurn the music up and let the walls come downWe don’t need a map to find our wayWe don’t need a reason just to stayLeave the heavy lifting for the sunTonight we’re only here for the funHey, hey, raise ‘em up highDirt road kings under a big black skyBoot heels clicking on the hardwood grainForget the Monday morning and the pouring rainRaise ‘em up highRaise ‘em up highFriday night fever in a one-light townTurn the music up and let the walls come down
