Lyrics
I’m packing up my worries in a worn-out grip,I’m trading in this journey for a different trip. The dust is on the window and the latch is old,But I’m heading for a city with the streets of gold.Well, the morning sun is climbing o'er the rolling hill,And I’m listening for a whistle that is sweet and shrill.I’m leaving every burden by the muddy riverside,Going where the living waters run deep and wide.I’m bound for glory,I’m going home.No more to wander,No more to roam.I’m bound for glory,I’m going home.I’m going home. The garden’s looking weary and the well is dry,But I’m looking at a mansion in the upper sky.Don't you weep for my departure when I sail away,It’s just the start of service on a Sabbath day.I’ll see the faces waiting by the pearly gate,Tell the Master that I’m coming and I won’t be late. The banjo’s gonna ring and the fiddle’s gonna play,When I step into the light of an endless day.I’m bound for glory,I’m going home.No more to wander,No more to roam.I’m bound for glory,I’m going home.I’m going home.Farewell to the valley,Farewell to the pine.I’m crossing the border,Leaving sorrow behind.I’m bound for glory,I’m going home.No more to wander,No more to roam.I’m bound for glory,I’m going home.I’m going home.Yes, I'm going home.Going home.Going home.
