Matt’s Gravel-Road Birthday
Create a general-audience bluegrass and folk-meets-hip-hop birthday song with energetic gravel-road spirit. Use banjo, acoustic guitar, fiddle, upright bass, and light brushed snare percussion. Mid-tempo, around 90–100 BPM, with warm, rooted, celebratory yet grounded production and natural room reverb. Feature a storytelling male lead with clear, rhythmic rap verses, contrasting folk-sung choruses, and an upbeat, heartfelt delivery. Keep the supplied lyrics exactly as written: [Verse 1] Down in the valleys of Roanoke town Where the Blue Ridge rises and the gravel grinds down Matt’s out there spinning on his special day Two hundred fifty miles on the Rockstar way Hair still perfect through the dust and the rain Christmas lights back home lighting up the lane [Chorus] It’s Matt’s birthday, it’s Matt’s birthday The smartest, coolest guy in the Star City today Tall and steady with that van he built from scratch You can always come home again — that’s a fact [Rap Verse] Yeah Matt’s the man, IT by day, code in the blood Engineered that camping van, kitted every inch out of love From the server racks to the dirt-road tracks Riding the Rockstar, never looking back Consistently great hair, wind can’t mess the flow Those Christmas lights every year make the whole street glow Smart and tall, cool as the Appalachian air Happy birthday brother while you’re out there [Verse 2] From Rocktown down to the Texas Tavern finish Gravel and grit but his spirit keeps winning The house in Roanoke waits with the lights all set And the van’s ready for whatever comes next [Chorus] It’s Matt’s birthday, it’s Matt’s birthday The smartest, coolest guy in the Star City today Tall and steady with that van he built from scratch You can always come home again — that’s a fact [Outro] Happy birthday Matt… keep those lights shining Happy birthday Matt… rock on through the miles
