Who it’s for

Key features

SEO Research & SERP Analysis

Enter a target keyword to get search volume, difficulty (Easy/Medium/Hard), search intent, dominant content type, the top SERP competitors (rank, domain, content type, estimated word count), People Also Ask questions, must-cover topics, related entities, and related keywords you can hand-pick to feed into the outline. Costs 8 credits.

AI Outline Generator

Generates a competitor-informed H1/H2/H3 structure with intro bullets, per-section notes, an FAQ section, and conclusion. Sections and subsections are drag-and-drop reorderable, inline-editable, addable/removable, and the outline can be locked before drafting to prevent accidental changes.

Section-by-Section Drafter

Drafts each outline section with AI, applying a selected brand voice and SEO context (primary/secondary keywords, entities). Includes a quick-edit toolbar (Shorten, Expand, Simplify, Professional, Casual, Add Example), free-text custom instructions with saved-instruction history, regenerate, live word count, and direct inline editing of the content.

SEO Optimizer

Tracks primary keyword density with guidance (aim 3–5×) and per-secondary-keyword counts, generates 3 variants each for meta title, meta description, and URL slug, generates a featured snippet, and runs a 9-point SEO checklist with a completion progress bar (keyword in title/first paragraph, internal/external links, min 300 words, etc.).

Brand Voice Manager

Create reusable brand voices manually or by pasting writing samples for AI analysis. Configure target audience, formal/playful/technical tone sliders (1–5), Do's and Don'ts rules, goals, and topic clusters. Set a default voice, edit, duplicate-free manage, and delete voices; applied per article during drafting and to social posts.

Content Refresher

Analyzes existing content (from the current article, pasted text, or a URL) against current SERP data to surface missing topics, outdated elements, missing questions, structural issues, and depth opportunities. Choose Quick or Deep refresh, then review changes side-by-side or changes-only with [UPDATED]/[NEW SECTION]/[ENHANCED] highlights and accept to update the article. Gap analysis costs 2 credits.

Repurposing Engine

Transforms a finished article into platform-specific formats — LinkedIn (3 variants), Twitter thread, email newsletter, YouTube script, and short-form video — with a per-format tone selector and batch generation. Outputs are shown in tabs with copy and download buttons.

Social Suite (Compose, Schedule, Publish)

A 5-step social composer (Channel → Copy → Media → Preview → Publish) with AI brainstorming, AI refine chat, hashtag/mention support, media library picker, and live platform previews. Connect LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram via OAuth, schedule posts, and manage them on a drag-and-drop calendar (month/week/day) that lets you reschedule and delete.

Article Manager

Browse all articles with stats (total, drafts, in review, published), search by keyword, filter by status and date range, paginate, duplicate, export to Markdown, and delete. Click any article to jump back into its workflow.

Outputs & formats

Pro tips

Use specific, long-tail keywords (3–5 words) for research — 'email marketing automation' beats 'marketing' — and check the difficulty badge (Easy <30, Medium 30–60, Hard >60).
Lock the outline before you start drafting so drag-reordering or inline edits can't change your structure mid-write.
Start drafting on Claude Haiku (Fast/1 credit) to fill sections cheaply, then switch to Sonnet or a Pro model only for sections that need extra polish.
In the SEO Optimizer, aim for 3–5 uses of your primary keyword and make sure it appears in the meta title and first paragraph — the checklist flags over-optimization above ~10 uses.
Generate all repurpose formats in one batch and tailor tone per platform (e.g., Professional for LinkedIn, Energetic for short-form) instead of one at a time.
Run a content refresh every 3–6 months; use Deep mode for major rewrites and accept changes selectively after comparing side-by-side.
Save your favorite custom refine instructions — both the section drafter and the social composer remember them for one-click reuse.

AI Writer FAQ

Who can use Tangra AI Writer?
It's gated access. After logging in, the tool is available to Tangra AI Studio subscribers and invited users. If you don't have access, you can click 'Request Access' (you'll be notified by email if granted) or subscribe to Tangra AI Studio.
Which AI models can I choose, and what do they cost?
You can pick per task from Claude Haiku (Fast, 1 credit, the default), Claude Sonnet (Smart, 5), Claude Opus (Genius, 25), ChatGPT Mini (Quick, 2), and ChatGPT Pro (Pro, 5). The model selector shows the credit cost next to each option.
How are credits used across the workflow?
SEO research costs 8 credits, content gap analysis (Refresh) costs 2 credits, and each drafted section costs 1 credit. Outline, refine, SEO meta, repurpose, and social generation consume credits based on the AI model you select. If you run out, the in-app credit/Action Center prompt appears.
Does it actually analyze real search results?
Yes. SEO research pulls live SERP and keyword data — search volume, difficulty, intent, top-ranking competitors with estimated word counts, People Also Ask questions, must-cover topics, and related keywords — which then informs the AI-generated outline.
Can I keep my content on-brand?
Yes. The Brand Voice Manager lets you create voices manually or by having AI analyze your writing samples, setting audience, formal/playful/technical tone sliders, Do's and Don'ts, goals, and topic clusters. You select a voice when drafting sections and when generating social posts, and can set a default.
How do I get my article out of the tool?
From My Articles you can export any article to Markdown (.md) or copy it into your CMS, and mark it Published. You can also duplicate articles and filter/search your library by status and date.
What can the repurposing engine produce?
From a finished article it generates LinkedIn posts (3 variants: statement, story, question), a 5–10 tweet Twitter thread, an email newsletter (subject lines + body), a 3–5 minute YouTube script, and a 30–60s short-form video script with scene visuals and text overlays. You can set a tone per format, generate in batch, then copy or download each.
Which social platforms can I publish and schedule to?
LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. You connect them via OAuth on the Accounts screen (Instagram connects automatically when you link a Facebook Page with a connected Instagram Business account). You can publish immediately or schedule, then manage and drag-reschedule posts on the month/week/day calendar.
Can I update old content instead of writing from scratch?
Yes. The Content Refresher analyzes your current article, pasted text, or a URL against current SERP data to find missing topics, outdated elements, missing questions, and structural/depth gaps, then does a Quick or Deep refresh. You review changes side-by-side or changes-only and accept them to update the article.
